Lucy Lawless hails from New Zealand and she is a performer, actress as well as a singer and musician. Her most notable performances include Xena Warrior Princess and Spartacus Blood and Sand. The actress was highly praised and remembered particularly for her performance as Xena. Lucy was initially intended to be played by Vanessa Angel. She was in a position to not make it to the filming due to illness. Her popularity in the role of Xena led to a spin-off show, which debuted in September of 1995. Lucy's fame as an actress was boosted after this spin-off. The show was a massive hit in terms of ratings and also in terms of culture. Apart from being referred to by fans as Xena Lucy is known by the name Diane Lewis Swanson from NBC's popular comedy Parks and Recreation where she played between 2012 and 2015.
