Aubrey Christina Plaza, the daughter of Bernadette Plaza, who is an attorney, and David Plaza, a financial specialist was born in Wilmington. Her father is Puerto Rican and her mother is an Irish-English. Plaza has graduated from Catholic all-girls school and later in 2006 she attended New York University's Tisch School of the Arts. Plaza was also elected president of her student group at her high school and was involved in Wilmington Drama League performances during her senior year.
